Enjoy our local growers and artisans each and every Saturday at the Walton Stores, Annand Street, Toowoomba. We are there from 8am-1pm, each and every season.
The Toowoomba Farmers’ Market will offer all things foodie, urban farm, country and community.
We are a genuine farmers’ market
Our market defines itself from others within our region. We are a market that advocate for all farmers’, growers, producers and artisans whilst promoting education, mindfulness and awareness. We recognise the need for a regular market to help aid change in eating habits and drive demand towards supporting local business’ rather than the big guys and chain supermarkets. It aims to give our local and wider community a chance to buy fresh seasonal food direct from the people who grew it or at least on behalf of local farmers. We think you as the consumer, deserve to learn of your food’s origin and it’s journey!
Come with us on this journey
Paddock to Potager and Toowoomba Farmers Market work together to drive demand towards small producers. Eat more quality food and less of a quantity.
This market is different from others. You see, the person who drives the market is a producer too – Fiona May, Pastured Pork Producer from Paddock to Potager! Fiona started the market to give our community the chance to experience an authentic local, seasonal market.
Fiona and the Toowoomba Farmers’ Market teams objective is for our community to support farmers and local artisans. It all begins with educating ourselves, no matter what the age, and passing history and skills down.
From October, you’ll find our market stallholders produce and products at Paddock to Potager in their co-op style farm shop ‘The Gourmet Collective’. Each Sunday from 10-3pm , Paddock to Potager opens their farm to patrons to have a relaxed morning coffee catch up, morning tea with friends, or a picnic hamper to roll out in the paddock with family. You’ll see how they run their small scale ethical farm, be able to participate in one of their farm tours and learn the value of seasonality and sustainability. Head over to the On-farm Events Tab for more information.
